Job summary

La Forge de Style US in South Hackensack, NJ is seeking an experienced Architectural and Furniture Metal Fabricator to work from shop drawings and raw materials through final assembly. The role requires precision, independence, and strong welding skills.

You will read and interpret plans, lay out materials, fabricate, fit and assemble architectural metalwork, and maintain a clean, safe workshop environment. OSHA awareness and finishing skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional metal fabrication experience.
• Experience with architectural or custom metalwork preferred.
• OSHA training or certification is a plus.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Architectural and Furniture Metal Fabricator to join our workshop in South Hackensack, NJ. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently from shop drawings and raw materials through final completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret architectural, furniture and shop drawings.
• Measure, lay out, mark, and cut raw materials.
• Fabricate, fit, and assemble architectural metalwork.
• TIG and MIG welding.
• Grind, sand, and pre-finish fabricated pieces.
• Inspect finished work for accuracy, alignment, fit, and quality.
• Operate shop machinery and hand tools and know their way around the shop.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in metal fabrication, preferably in architectural or custom metalwork.
• OSHA training or certification is an asset.

Preferred

• Experience with brass and bronze fabrication and welding, ornamental metalwork, and metal finishing.

Language Skills

• English: working proficiency required.
