Job summary

ARCO Companies in Richmond Heights, MO invites an Architectural Intern to support architects on site. You will assist with site and space planning, code reviews, and preparing presentation drawings for permits and construction.

Qualifications

• Previous Internship or Co-op experience preferred but not required
• Internship or classwork experience in Revit and/or AutoCAD preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic

We're adding an Architectural Intern to our team in Richmond Heights, MO. GMA partners with a top ENR design-build firm to provide services including creative design, project management, ADA/code compliance, building assessment and reuse, additions and renovations, historic preservation, master planning, interior design, space planning, structural analysis and design, and construction administration.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

At GMA, an Intern has the opportunity to assist Architects with the following:

• Site and space planning for construction project managers
• Reviewing building code, local zoning, and park covenants
• Preparing presentation drawings as required
• Attending client meetings, coordinating with construction project managers, structural, electrical, and civil engineers
• Reviewing project scope
• Producing architectural documents for permit submittal as well as construction

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

• Enrolled in Architectural Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0
• Previous Internship or Co-op experience preferred but not required
• Internship or classwork experience in Revit and/or AutoCAD preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic
