Shremshock Architecture and Engineering, Inc. is seeking Architectural Field Surveyors with a minimum of five years of experience in retail/restaurant architecture.
Candidates must have a valid US passport or be able to obtain one and be prepared for extensive travel across the US and Canada. Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit is required, and you should thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
Shremshock is seeking Architectural Field Surveyors with a minimum of five years of experience working in the retail/restaurant architecture industry. Qualified candidates must have a valid US passport or be able to obtain one, expect significant travel all over the US and Canada, be proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable as a member of a cohesive team. The expected annual base pay is between $60,000 and $90,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
Our Field Surveyors are a team of professionals with backgrounds in architecture, interior design, and MEP engineering. Typical benefits our Field Surveyors receive by virtue of their travel-heavy schedules include overtime pay, travel pay, significant frequent flier miles, car and hotel rental credits/perks, and the ability to travel throughout the US and Canada.
Specific on-site tasks would include working with the mall Tenant Coordinator to gain access to the space; and verifying existing space conditions, including MEP systems, structural heights, and the architectural floorplan. Upon completion of the survey, the Field Surveyor inputs As-Built conditions using AutoCAD or Revit upon returning to the office. A normal travel schedule would be one 1-day survey (unless it’s a west coast location) per week, with occasionally two surveys per week.
