Job summary

SnapDragon Associates, LLC seeks an experienced Product Engineer with a civil/structural background to lead projects from concept through execution in a stable industrial setting. You will develop product details, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation while coordinating testing and compliance with labs and vendors.

Collaborating with Sales, Operations, Production, Marketing, and Construction Services, you will help improve product designs, standards, and engineering processes,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, or architectural engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience with building envelopes, cladding, façade systems, or architectural building products.
  • EIT/FE preferred and strong construction understanding.
  • Hands-on with Design‑Bid‑Build processes and project management.
  • Excellent communication and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple projects from concept through execution.
  • Develop product details, drawings, specifications, and technical docs.
  • Support customers and internal teams with product applications and questions.
  • Coordinate product testing and compliance with labs and vendors.
  • Use AutoCAD to develop and review drawings and details.
  • Troubleshoot construction, fabrication, and installation challenges.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Production, Marketing, and Construction Services.
  • Improve product designs, standards, and engineering processes.

Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Product Engineer with a background in civil/structural engineering, architecture, building envelopes, cladding, or architectural products to join a growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone coming from a consulting environment who wants to take greater ownership of projects while enjoying a more focused, stable work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple projects from concept through execution
  • Develop product details, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Support customers and internal teams with product application and technical questions
  • Work with testing labs and material vendors to coordinate product testing and compliance
  • Use AutoCAD to develop and review drawings and details
  • Troubleshoot construction, fabrication, and installation challenges
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Production, Marketing, and Construction Services
  • Help improve product designs, standards, and engineering processes
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering preferred
  • 10+ years of experience with building envelopes, cladding, façade systems, or architectural building products
  • EIT/FE preferred
  • Hands‑on understanding of construction and the Design‑Bid‑Build process
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Experience with SketchUp, SolidWorks, Fusion, or structural analysis software is a plus
  • PE license is not required
