Job summary

Keystone Custom Homes is seeking a detail-oriented Architectural Drafter to join our hybrid team focused on building extraordinary homes and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will contribute to project execution, creating customer plans that elevate our brand identity while collaborating with multiple departments.

The ideal candidate has extensive AutoCAD experience, strong drafting skills for 2D floorplans and elevations, and a background in residential design within a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in AutoCAD with a record of impactful contributions.
• Able to visualize walking through a 2D floorplan and provide insights.
• Draft all four elevations from customized floorplans.
• Proactive, self-starting, thrives in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Learns processes quickly and communicates next steps clearly.
• Residential drafting and design experience.
• Manages multiple projects and meets deadlines.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Homebuilder experience preferred (3–5 years).
• Foundational knowledge of construction methods, materials and IRC codes.

Responsibilities

• Create compelling customer plans to elevate Keystone’s brand identity.
• Contribute to project execution and collaborate with key departments.
• Draft accurate floorplans and elevations based on customized layouts.
• Ensure timely delivery of drafting tasks and revisions to support sales and construction teams.

• Learns and internalizes processes and SOPs quickly and can clearly communicate next steps.
• Brings experience in residential drafting and design.
• Excels at managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering on deadlines.
• Is recognized for meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Can accurately assemble floorplans within pre-drawn layouts, incorporating customizations and completing repetitive drafting tasks and corrections efficiently.
• Holds an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in CAD, Drafting, Architectural Design, or a related field. Preferred 3-5 years Homebuilder experience.
• Has foundational knowledge of construction methods, materials, and basic IRC codes.
• Maintains a productive workspace, whether in a traditional office setting or working remotely from home.
