IA Retail, part of IA Interior Architects, is seeking an Architectural Designer for high-volume retail rollout projects. The role emphasizes technical design, construction documentation, and collaboration with a distributed team.

The position allows fully remote work with travel 1–2 times per month across the country. Ideal candidates have a architecture degree or equivalent, at least 2 years in CD experience, and strong Revit skills, plus familiarity with retail design details and store

We are presently searching for various technical positions at all levels, including Junior and Intermediate Architectural Designers and Job Captains for our Retail studio (fully remote).

The Architectural Designer is responsible for producing technical drawings and construction documents for high-vol ume retail rollout projects for a large National Brand/Clie nt. Strong Technical skills in Revit are required. This position will also require travel 1-2 times per month. Travel can be nationwide.

Additional Specific Responsibilities Include:

• Assists in overall technical design for projects
• Review of engineering drawings to ensure they comply with design solution
• Works with technical staff to resolve inconsistencies in drawings
• Aid in the creation of floor plans, elevations, architectural and millwork details, and overall design intent sets for the Request for Proposal (RFP) process and distribution to architects
• Review and redline construction documents, shop drawings, and related submittals
• Produces, reviews and finalizes space plans for projects
• Extensive knowledge of detailing and finalizes details on projects
• Reviews and produces final cost estimates
• Travel to sites to assist with support or for field surveys (travel is likely 1-2 times per month and can Nationwide)
• Oversees tasks and provide feedback on work product
• Organizes and conducts client interviews to determine space needs and requirements
• Continues to provide needed information to client on design specifications; good working knowledge of Affinity program

Qualifications:

• Graduate of architecture school: equivalent experience may be substituted
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Construction Documentation.
• Min 1+ years' experience in Retail design projects.
• Fast-paced retail roll-out experience is preferred
• Strong Revit Skills are Required
