Job Description

Reliable Home Improvement is a family-owned and operated company that has been in business since 1967. We specialize in high‑end residential remodeling projects, including room additions, kitchen remodels, bathroom renovations, and basement conversions. As an Architectural Designer, you will: Create Residential design drawings using CAD software and help sales team prepare client presentations with full set of conceptual drawings and 3D renderings. Typical projects are large‑scale home additions and kitchen/bathroom remodels.

Sales Support: Create detailed conceptual architectural drawings and 3D renderings using CAD and BIM software.
Client Collaboration: Work with clients to understand their needs, develop project designs, and manage expectations and vision.
Code Compliance: Ensure designs adhere to local building codes, zoning laws, and regulatory requirements.
Research & Material Selection: Research, maintain and update CAD library with innovative materials and construction methods.
Project Coordination: Collaborate with other professionals, including structural engineers, superintendents, and architects, to ensure projects move smoothly to next phase of construction drawings and execution.
Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in CAD and BIM software, such as Auto CAD, Chief Architect, Sketch up, 20/20 with strong background in residential remodeling.
Creative Vision: A strong artistic sense and the ability to translate ideas into practical designs. Great special planning is a plus.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for client and team interactions.
Problem‑Solving: Ability to address and resolve design and structural challenges.
Knowledge of Codes: Understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations. Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment with other professionals.
