Job summary

DJCA Cornerstone PLLC is seeking an experienced Designer / Project Manager to support our architects in preparing construction documents, including layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams with all views, dimensions, and technical information needed for construction.

You'll coordinate Revit and CAD work on the team and carry projects from design development through construction, making day-to-day decisions and bringing select questions to the architect or supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Drafting, or Design, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in architectural design and construction documents.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit, Microsoft Office, and MS Project.
• Strong knowledge of drafting techniques, building code, and construction systems.
• Excellent design, technical, and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership, client service, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and work independently with a team.
• Valid NY State driver's license and own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare presentation drawings and construction documents in Revit.
• Coordinate with architect and drafters to develop plans and specs.
• Review and redline drawings as directed by the architect.
• Support revisions and drawing development on active projects.
• Review building codes and verify design data for correctness.
• Lead project meetings and manage submittals, RFIs, and approvals.
• Assist with local, state, and federal permitting.
