Job summary

NBBJ Columbus is seeking an Architectural Designer to join our design-focused studio. You will support design leadership on projects, contribute to setting design quality, and advance the firm’s reputation through collaborative work and client interactions.

We value conceptual, visual, and communication skills, and welcome designers with 3–5 years of experience, a B Arch or M Arch, and proficiency in Revit and 3D modeling.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in architectural design.
• Strong conceptual design and schematic design skills.
• Excellent verbal and graphic communication with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Set expectations and exemplify quality standards through design reviews and mentorship.
• Inspire radical thinking and creativity to lead the studio toward impactful design.
• Provide hands-on design work for projects from concept to construction.
• Review projects and engage teams in firm-wide peer reviews.
• Craft and present compelling design stories to clients and peers.
• Collaborate with multiple disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
