Perkins Eastman in Los Angeles seeks a Designer II to support existing building reuse, rehabilitation of historic buildings, and adaptive reuse across projects. You will collaborate with LA-based teams from feasibility through design and construction administration.

Requirements include 3–8 years in existing building renewal, a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; LEED preferred.

Competenze

• 3-8 years of experience related to existing building renewal and revitalization.
• Excellent writing, speaking, and public presentation skills.
• Individual who has passed the ARE, or plans to complete in the near term.
• Experience on project teams focused on existing buildings to program, conceptualize, and document projects.

Mansioni

• Work directly with Los Angeles based teams focusing on existing buildings across all building typologies.
• Engage with clients and consultants as an active member of the team during meetings and presentations.
• Work with teams to develop detailed sets of drawings.
• Confirm existing building information by performing site and building investigations and detailed building crawls
• Research existing buildings through review of historic documentation, public records and site evolution through imagery.
