Job summary

Perkins Eastman in Chicago is seeking a creative Architectural Designer (Architect I) to translate concepts into drawings, layouts and compelling visual presentations. You will own key design tasks, develop drawings and layouts, and support projects from concept through construction documents.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s or master’s in architecture with 3–5 years of experience, proficiency in Revit and related tools, and LEED accreditation is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor or master’s degree in architecture.
3–5 years of relevant work experience.
LEED accreditation preferred.
Licensed professional or on path to licensure preferred.
Strong design and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

Develop architectural drawings, plans, and layouts.
Create schematic proposals and 3D models.
Test design solutions via hand sketches and iterative modeling.
Produce construction drawings and detailing.
Contribute to construction administration and submittals.
Develop material boards and immersive graphic presentations.
Support projects across all phases from concept to construction documents.
