Job summary

VCBO Architecture's Hawaii office is seeking an Architectural Designer II to join our team. This role is for a developing design professional ready to take greater independence in project design, documentation, and coordination while continuing to build technical and creative skills.

You’ll collaborate with project teams, consultants, and clients, taking ownership of defined components, balancing design intent with technical requirements, and mentoring emerging staff as you grow.

Qualifications

• Professional experience demonstrating growing independence in architectural design, documentation, and coordination.
• Proficiency in architectural documentation and project coordination.
• Knowledge of architectural design principles, technical coordination, and industry standards.
• Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with project teams, consultants, and clients.
• Strong organization and follow-through when managing assigned project responsibilities.
• Ability to work with moderate autonomy and recognize when additional guidance is needed.
• Interest in continued professional growth and sharing knowledge with less experienced team members.
