Job summary

Journey is seeking an Intermediate Architectural Designer for its Broadway Studio in New York. You will collaborate with clients to shape architectural interior projects that are highly functional and beautifully detailed, drawing on hospitality design experience.

From concept through development, you’ll produce design drawings in Revit, AutoCAD and 3D models, craft presentations, select finishes, and coordinate with vendors to meet schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• B.Arch or B.S in Architecture or related field from an accredited school.
• Minimum 4 years of post-graduate design experience in an architectural and/or interior design studio.
• Strong Revit, Enscape and AutoCAD skills.
• Ability to model in 3DS Max, Rhino or Revit.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with designers across the studios.
• Experience in design work within the hospitality industry is a plus.
• Training and/or qualifications such as ASID, NCIDQ, AIA are also a plus.
• Additionally, working within the context of a global company which has a broad & diverse portfolio would be a desirable feature of your experience

Responsibilities

• Participating in client meetings and crafting elaborate client presentations in InDesign, Google Slides and Power Point
• Creating, producing and managing detailed design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
• Communication and cross collaboration to drive conceptual thinking on your projects
• Producing 3D models, sketches and boards to support your ideas
• Select and specify architectural finishes
• Design, detail and specify custom FF&E
• Coordinate with vendors and other project consultants to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
