GKW Architects is seeking a motivated Architectural Designer / Draftsperson to join our team in Campbell, CA. This role is ideal for a recent architecture graduate or early-career designer who wants hands-on experience across all phases of architectural practice.

You will work directly with licensed Architects and project managers on a variety of residential, commercial, mixed-use, and community projects—from schematic design through permitting, construction documents, and construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit.
• Understanding of architectural drawings and basic building construction.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Interest in learning building codes, permitting, and construction documentation.
• Recent graduates with strong Revit skills encouraged to apply.

Responsabilités

• Prepare architectural drawings and construction documents using Autodesk Revit.
• Assist with schematic design, design development, permit, and construction drawing sets.
• Prepare plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and presentation drawings.
• Research building, zoning, accessibility, and planning requirements.
• Coordinate drawings with structural, civil, MEP, and other consultants.
• Assist with site measurements, existing-condition documentation, and field visits.
• Support project managers with permitting, coordination, and construction administration.

You will work directly with licensed Architects and project managers on a variety of residential, commercial, mixed-use, and community projects—from schematic design through permitting, construction documents, and construction administration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural drawings and construction documents using Autodesk Revit
• Assist with schematic design, design development, permit, and construction drawing sets
• Prepare plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and presentation drawings
• Research building, zoning, accessibility, and planning requirements
• Incorporate plan-check comments and assist with jurisdictional responses
• Coordinate drawings with structural, civil, MEP, and other consultants
• Assist with site measurements, existing-condition documentation, and field visits
• Support project managers with permitting, coordination, and construction administration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit
• Understanding of architectural drawings and basic building construction
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred:

• 0–3 years of professional or internship experience
• Experience preparing permit or construction drawing sets
• Familiarity with California building codes
• Experience with Autodesk Revit, Adobe, or architectural visualization software
• Interest in pursuing architectural licensure

Recent graduates with strong Revit skills and a good portfolio are encouraged to apply.
