Job summary

SBLM is seeking a creative and experienced architectural designer to work on mixed-use, educational, hospital, and retail renovation projects. You will develop construction documents, renderings, and 3-D models for permit submissions and presentations, collaborating closely with the architectural team.

Requirements include a professional architecture degree, 5–10 years of experience, strong AutoCAD and 3-D software proficiency, and experience with Adobe and Autodesk suites.

Qualifications

• Professional bachelor’s degree in architecture.
• Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in an Architect’s office.
• Expertise in Adobe and Autodesk Suites and at least one Modeling and Rendering Application (Preferred: SketchUp Revit, or 3D Studio Mx, and VRay, Enscape, Lumion or Twin Motion).
• High level proficiency with AutoCAD & 3-D software.
• Interior design & planning for the residential mixed-use market is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A passion to make each assignment better than the last.
• An appreciation for managing digital resources, maintaining an economy of means, and authoring work that is clear and easy to collaborate on.
• Ability to bring architectural training and knowledge into the development of Construction drawings and 3-D design models for both Permit submission and Presentation drawings.

Responsibilities

• Producing architectural drawings to support on-going projects and future marketing efforts.
• Collaborate with the Architectural Team to develop effective construction documents, solutions, renderings, and 3-D images for tasks.
