Job summary

Vetter Architects is seeking an Architectural Designer with 2–5 years of experience to join our Milwaukee studio. The candidate will collaborate with a tight-knit team to develop one-of-a-kind residential designs with design rigor and client trust.

You will participate in all design phases, work closely with principals and senior architects, and contribute to client meetings, charrettes, and construction documentation while creating compelling 3D renderings and interior/exterior details.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in custom residential architecture.
• Proficiency in the listed design and visualization tools.
• Professional degree in Architecture.
• Portfolio that demonstrates 3D rendering skills.
• Strong graphic, visualization, and communication skills.
• Collaborative spirit and self-starting energy.

Responsibilities

• Be actively involved in all phases of design from concept to CD and site visits.
• Work with principals and senior architects in a fast-paced studio.
• Participate in client meetings, charrettes, CD production, and walkthroughs.
• Create dynamic 3D visualizations central to design development.
• Contribute to interior, exterior, and landscape development.

We are currently seeking askilled, energetic, anddriven by design Architectural Designerwith 2–5 years of professional experience in custom residential architecture (preferred) to join our studio in Milwaukee.

What You’ll Do

• Be actively involved in all phases of the design process—from early concept to construction documents and site visits
• Work side-by-side with principals and senior architects in a fast-paced, hands‑on design studio
• Participate in client meetings, design charrettes, CD production, material studies, and project walkthroughs
• Create dynamic, highly compelling 3D visualization that are central to how we develop and communicate our designs
• You will wholistically participate in the development of interior spaces, exterior form/details, and landscape design
• Contribute meaningfully to the evolution of unique residential projects that are deeply personal and design-driven
• Bring a fresh perspective, sharp design instincts, and a readiness to learn

What You Bring

• 2–5 years of experience in custom residential architecture preferred
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, hand sketching
• A professional degree in Architecture
• Portfolio that illustrates your skills in creating compelling 3D renderings
• Strong graphic, visualization, and communication skills
• Passion for design excellence and detail
• A collaborative spirit and self-starting energy
