We are partnering with the #1 retail company in the United States to identify an experienced Architectural Designer to join their Operations Design team. This team is responsible for developing the next generation of highly automated, world-class fulfillment centers.

This role sits at the intersection of architecture, engineering, and advanced automation, with a strong emphasis on program management, design integration, and cross-functional coordination in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of architectural design, production systems, and operational space planning for large-scale distribution centers
• Manage all aspects of design program management, including scheduling, stakeholder communication, risk management, QA/QC, and document control
• Facilitate and lead design reviews, manage approvals, and release complete design packages for execution
• Provide technical leadership in process flow design and building program development
• Coordinate across internal teams, external partners, contractors, and vendors
• Manage multiple concurrent projects while effectively influencing and communicating with stakeholders
• Drive process improvement initiatives to optimize design and execution workflows
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality design outputs

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in design, innovation, process engineering, or industrial engineering
• 5+ years of experience managing engineering or design projects
• 2+ years of experience with tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automated material handling systems, packaging technologies, or robotics
• Knowledge of Lean-based process design methodologies
• Familiarity with Design for Safety (DfS) principles
