Come join the Operations Design Team as we use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models to develop the next generation of world-class fulfillment centers! We specialize in the designs surrounding automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems including robotics and high speed manufacturing. If you have strong technical problem-solving abilities and are looking to be challenged in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment, then this job is for you!

This role will be project/program management heavy to ensure the tracking, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, and optimized process flow of CAD modules in North America and Europe. These modules comprise the sub-component design of Amazon warehouses, and are essential to a project's critical path. The ability to manage expectations and coordinate with multiple stakeholders is a must.

Some of the basic qualifications are expected are below:

1. 4+ years experience in the job offered or related occupation of Design/ Innovation, Process/ Industrial Engineering or related.
2. Experience managing engineering or design projects.
3. Experience using business/ technical software such as REVIT, AutoCAD, BIM 360, BlueBeam, Microsoft Suite.

Key job responsibilities

1. Responsible for all aspects of design integration of architectural backgrounds, production and process equipment layouts with operational space design and planning of distribution centers.
2. Lead, manage and coordinate all aspects of design program management like schedule, stakeholder communication, risk and quality, document and revision management.
3. Present and lead design reviews with stakeholders. Manage approvals and release full design packages for execution and implementation.
4. Provide technical leadership for process flows for building program. Provide coordination support between internal and external departments.
5. Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors.
6. Facilitate process improvement initiatives.
7. Effectively manage resources, quality and project schedules for on-time deliverables.
8. Travel 10% to interact with internal and external business.

About the team

Operations Design Team is a talented & fun team focused on delivering integrated technical building designs that incorporate multiple design elements. These drawings become the source of truth for execution teams who are boots on the ground building and launching state of the art fulfillment centers. The team comprises of highly accomplished and skilled architects & engineers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. 3+ years of program or project management experience
2. Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
3. Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
4. Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Industrial Design and Engineering (any discipline).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
2. 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
3. Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
4. Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
