Job summary

Journey is seeking an Architectural Designer for its Broadway Studio in New York. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop design concepts and deliver documentation across project phases.

The role requires a 2+ year post-graduate design background, strong Revit/AutoCAD skills, and proficiency in Enscape, Rhino and 3DS Max. This hybrid position combines 2 days remote with 3 days in the studio.

Qualifications

• B.Arch or B.S in Architecture from an accredited school.
• Minimum 2 years post-graduate design experience in architecture/interior design.
• Strong Revit, Enscape and AutoCAD skills; ability to model in 3DS Max, Rhino.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and excellent communication.

ROLE SUMMARY

As an Architectural Designer at Journey, you'll have the opportunity to learn by doing. Working across a diverse range of projects alongside a collaborative team, you'll build new skills, contribute to meaningful design work, and gain exposure to every stage of the creative process.

You'll collaborate with designers, strategists, clients, consultants, and fabricators to help develop design concepts and bring them to life with creativity, care, rigor and attention to detail.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assist senior designers to conceptualise and develop design schemes for projects.
• Actively contribute to design and documentation of projects through all project phases under the direction of more senior members.
• Participate in client meetings and craft elaborate client presentations to communicate design concepts effectively
• Conduct research on materials, products, and trends to inform design decisions.
• Create and produce detailed models and design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD under the direction of more senior members.
• Select and specify architectural finishes
• Design, detail and specify custom FF&E
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

• B.Arch or B.S in Architecture or related field from an accredited school
• Minimum 2 years of post-graduate design experience in an architectural and/or interior design studio.
• Strong Revit, Enscape and AutoCAD skills
• Ability to model in 3DS Max, Rhino or Revit
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with designers across the studios

Location: This opportunity is located at our Broadway Studio in New York. On this occasion, we can only consider applications from those fully authorised to work in the U.S. This position involves a hybrid work arrangement, incorporating both a 2-day remote and a 3-day in-person commitment in our New York studio.

Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000

Contract: Full time employee - Monday-Friday, 9.30am-6.30pm
