Qualifications

  • 3+ years of post-graduate experience in a similar role.
  • Stellar presentation and copywriting skills.
  • Strong documentation skills using Google Slides, Adobe InDesign, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience with 3D modelling software and spatial design knowledge.
  • Experience with collaborative work platforms like Miro or Mural.
  • Experience working independently and with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience self-managing deadlines and tasks.
  • Experience working with established brands in retail, hospitality, entertainment, education, or healthcare is a plus.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Experience Design Strategist will collaborate closely with studio leadership, architectural and interior designers, graphic designers and SME’s to co-author materials focused on exploring and identifying novel opportunities for our clients, their business, and their customers across a variety of project types. The design strategist conducts research, participates in client workshops and discovery sessions, develops strategic narratives, proposes design direction, and writes for brands, organisations, or customer-facing outlets.

This specific role is geared towards a strategist with professional experience in interior or architectural design.

To thrive in this role, you are an experienced design strategist who has been working in the interior design / architectural industry to help inform interior designers on design from the lens of the experience. You will work independently and with multi-disciplinary teams across Journey and present and work directly with clients. You have strong conceptual skills and use market research and data to inform your design strategy. You will also have:

Location: This opportunity is located at our Broadway Studio in New York. On this occasion, we can only consider applications from those fully authorised to work in the U.S.
This position involves a hybrid work arrangement, incorporating both a 2-day remote and a 3-day in-person commitment in our New York studio.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000

Contract: Full time employee
