Role Description

We are seeking a Residential Remodel Architectural Designer to support all aspects of remodeling design from homeowner consultation and field measures through material selections and construction-ready plans. This is an in-office position based in the Denver, CO metro area. Remote or hybrid arrangements are not available. Current, hands‑on residential remodeling experience is required. This is not a commercial architecture role. Candidates without residential design‑build remodeling backgrounds will not be considered.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Conduct precise on‑site measurements and develop accurate base plans
  • Produce design concepts and remodeling layouts
  • Prepare construction‑ready drawing sets
  • Apply CAD software confidently
  • Collaborate with homeowners on material selections and design details
  • Ensure alignment with residential building codes and permitting requirements
  • Prepare documentation for production handoff
  • Coordinate internally to maintain project accuracy and consistency
    Qualifications
    • Minimum 5+ years of residential remodeling design experience
    • Direct experience within residential design‑build environments required
    • Demonstrated ability to produce construction‑ready remodeling drawings
    • Strong CAD competency, ideally with Chief Architect software, but AutoCAD and SketchUp are good skills that cross translate well into Chief Architect.
    • Familiarity with residential codes and permitting requirements
    • Professional communication skills with homeowners
    • Highly organized; able to manage multiple active projects
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
    • Ability to work full‑time in‑office in the Denver metro area / M‑F
