Job summary

Olgoonik Corporation, in Bohemia, NY and Oneida, NY, seeks a qualified architectural/engineering designer to develop construction drawings and specifications.

You will work closely with architects and engineers from the first field visit through construction completion, gaining exposure to all consulting aspects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in a consulting environment.
• Experience with municipalities and government agencies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in formation and development of construction drawings and specifications for public and private clientele.
• Perform fieldwork to investigate, measure, take photos, and document existing conditions.
• Perform calculations, analyze data, and generate decision matrices to support design objectives.
• Computer drafting and design using AutoCAD.
• Client interaction and teamwork with other Project Team members.

Work closely with architects and engineers in the development of construction documents, from the first field visit through the successful completion of construction. • Assist in formation and development of construction drawings and specifications for public and private clientele

• Client interaction and teamwork with other Project Team members

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Expertise in AutoCAD and good experience with MS Office Suite
• Strong interest in detail development for a wide array of projects having challenging conditions
