WE ARE CURRENTLY HIRING FOR AN ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN ASSISTANT AT OUR MARINA DEL REY LOCATION

OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION

The Architectural Design Assistant will work as an integral part of the in-house Architectural Design Team and support the Furniture Design Team as needed. The candidate should be a team player with strong design sensibility and excellent communication skills. In addition, the candidate should be thorough, detail-oriented, and capable of overseeing multiple tasks to completion, both short-term and long-term.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the team in all phases of design, from concept through development
• Develop and maintain SketchUp models used in the design process
• Communicate with project-related consultants and vendors
• Draft architectural drawings and details
• Maintain materials and samples library; research and obtain new samples
• Support daily administrative tasks such as organizing project files, downloading/uploading files, maintaining printed drawing sets, and plotting/printing drawings

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE

Education:

• Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Architecture or Interior Architecture/Design program

Special Skills:

• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
• V-Ray experience is a plus

Work Experience:

• 0-2 years relevant experience, preferably with all phases of design
• Retail experience is a plus

PAY AND OTHER DETAILS

The hourly salary for this position is $17.28. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
