Job summary

Chenega MIOS is seeking a Computer-Aided Drafting & Design Technician - Architectural to support the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio. The role focuses on drafting, modeling, and producing precise designs for complex facilities and systems.

Candidates should have an associate degree in architectural drafting or architecture and at least 2 years of related experience, including building layouts and space planning. U.S.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in architectural Drafting or Architecture required.
• 2+ years of architectural drafting technical experience including layouts, building modeling, rendering, and space allocation.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Public Trust/NACI required to start.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs, drawings, and/or specifications for engineering projects using the AFRL RQOE 3DCAD/CAE systems.
• Design calculations, prepare layouts, detailed specifications, parts lists and estimates.
• Transform ideas or rough sketches into practical equipment designs for manufacturability.
• Provide parts info including materials, dimensions, electrical and safety characteristics, procurement sources.
• Produce workable designs including mechanical components and lightweight structures.
• Ensure designs are easy to maintain, assemble, and reliable.
• Utilize CAD/CAE software or Microsoft Office for engineering documentation.
