Job summary

Chenega MIOS seeks a Computer-Aided Drafting & Design Technician - Architectural to support the AFRL at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The role focuses on drafting, design, and documentation for complex facilities and systems, leveraging CAD/CAE software and MS Office for analysis and communication.

You will collaborate with engineers to create layouts, models, and specifications, ensuring maintainability, safety, and compliance with standards. Occasional travel and training are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in architectural drafting or architecture.
• 2+ years of architectural drafting experience, including layouts, building modeling, rendering, and space allocation.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs, drawings, and specifications for engineering projects using the AFRL RQOE 3DCAD and CAE/CAM systems.
• Design calculations, layouts, detailed specifications, parts lists and estimates.
• Produce workable designs from rough sketches or verbal descriptions for mechanical components and lightweight structures.
• Ensure designs are easy to maintain, assemble, and reliable.
• Comply with CAD/CAE software and Microsoft Office platforms; attend training and timesheet submissions.
