Job summary

LaBella Associates is seeking an Architectural Technician for our Latham and Poughkeepsie offices. You will prepare drawings in Revit, develop plans and details, and coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines.

The role requires 2–5 years with an Architectural/Engineering consultant, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and a bachelor’s degree in Architecture is preferred. Strong planning, teamwork, and self-motivation are essential, with some travel expected.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience working for an Architectural/Engineering Consultant.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture preferred.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Self-motivated with proficient written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural drawings and construction documents using Revit.
• Develop plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules through all design phases.
• Coordinate drawings with structural, MEP, civil, and other engineers.
• Assist with code research, system coordination, and technical problem solving.
• Participate in client meetings, consultant coordination meetings, and site visits.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs under supervision of a Project Architect/PM.
• Assist with construction administration, including field observations and punch list inspections.
• Maintain project documentation, drawing revisions, and BIM standards.
• Support permit, bidding, and construction document submissions.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver technically accurate, coordinated and code-compliant solutions.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
