The Port of San Francisco is seeking an Architectural Associate II to join the multidisciplinary Engineering Division. Under the supervision of the Port Senior Architect, you will contribute to design, documentation, and project coordination across waterfront facilities.

You will prepare contract documents, perform cost analyses, and participate in space planning and material selection, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects from concept through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field (Environmental Design/Interior Architecture) or equivalent professional degree.
• Six years of progressively responsible experience in the architectural field with design, detailing, cost analysis, and construction administration.
• California driver’s license and insurability at time of appointment.

Responsabilités

• Develops and coordinates designs of entire projects in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Prepares preliminary and final architectural contract documents including construction details and specs.
• Ensures contract documents are coordinated by reviewing drawings and specs from team members.
• Reviews design documents for conformance with codes and project requirements.
• Assists with checking in-house and consultant design work and prepares reports as needed.
• Prepares cost estimates, budgets and schedules for construction/projects.
• Participates in interior space planning and selection of building materials.
• Provides technical direction to architectural staff and supports other personnel.
