Job summary

Morton Buildings, Inc. is seeking an Architectural Associate to draft detailed construction drawings and specifications for civil engineering projects, working on-site at our Morton, IL headquarters.

The role involves producing plans in AutoCAD, developing truss drawings, and supporting early project development with Revit concepts. The ideal candidate holds a NAAB-accredited architecture degree, demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork, and is eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Architecture from a NAAB-accredited program.
• AutoCAD and Revit proficiency preferred.
• Self-starter and motivated; able to learn quickly and contribute at a fast pace.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork experience.
• Eligible to work permanently in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Develop architectural building plans from contracts using AutoCAD, including specifications, layouts, sections, details, and truss drawings.
• Use Revit to create preliminary concept drawings to support early project development.
• Engage with engineers, architects, estimators, project managers, and sales consultants across the company.
• Collaborate cross-functionally through project conception to construction documentation.
