Job Description

Come join the staff at OU HSC and become a part of Oklahoma's premier research university, leading the state in education and career opportunities. OU HSC is one of only four comprehensive academic health centers in the nation with seven professional colleges. We are currently building world-class institutes for the treatment of diabetes and cancer. We are seeking an individual to join our team, bringing their experience in architectural and engineering design to the Facilities Management Team as an Architect/Senior Construction Project Manager.

Duties
  • Represent the University of Oklahoma Board of Regents and administration by providing daily construction contract administration.
  • Advise contractors, project architects, engineers, and University officials regarding project quality and schedule, coordinating with other departments and project personnel.
  • Monitor contractor work for conformance with contract requirements.
  • Translate facility requirements into architectural or engineering design programs in consultation with relevant departments.
  • Administer consultant and construction contracts.
  • Review contractor submittals and respond to RFIs and inquiries.
  • Develop and monitor project budgets, including reviewing and approving expenditures.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to fulfill the position’s responsibilities.
Job Requirements

Required Education: Bachelor's degree AND 60 months of experience in commercial or institutional construction or architectural engineering design.
Equivalency: 48 months of related experience may substitute for the degree, totaling 108 months of experience.

Certifications
  • Valid Driver's License
Working Conditions
  • Physical: Repetitive motion, bending, standing, stooping, lifting heavy objects
  • Environmental: Exposure to extreme weather, occasional confrontation, stressful conditions, meeting deadlines
Departmental Preferences
  • Architecture license in Oklahoma or a license in another state with eligibility to obtain Oklahoma license
