Job summary

Klover Architects, Inc. is expanding and seeks a Project Leader to partner with the Project Manager and Project Designer on a range of project types. The role emphasizes team leadership, delivering content and coordinating with consultants, vendors, and staff to produce complete documents.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, 3–5 years of experience, and strong skills in Revit, AutoCAD, and Office. Travel is limited to under 10% and the environment is collaborative.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture is required.
  • 3 to 5 years related experience in architecture.
  • Knowledge of design trends, construction methods, materials, and supplier suitability.
  • Knowledge of architectural building systems.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Motivated, self-directed, problem solver; works well individually and in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Fosters and maintains a collaborative professional relationship with the Project Leadership Team.
  • Communicates with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to incorporate information into project requirements.
  • Ensures construction detail documentation conforms to QA/QC and Klover standards.
  • Performs as team leader on certain projects.
  • Coordinates use and tracks shared electronic documents with project team, clients, and consultants.
  • Assists in planning and conducting work; makes minor adaptations to drawings.
  • Writes reports and memos to consultants and vendors for changes and resolutions.
  • Provides technical support and project communications to the team.
  • May attend on-site visits, field reviews, project meetings, and review contractor schedules.

The Project Lead partners with the Project Manager and Project Designer on small to large-scale project types in a very collaborative environment. The Project Lead is accountable for team communication and responsible for the issuance of content of deliverables, technical content of Klover documents and coordination of disciplines including consultants and for staff producing documents.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Fosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the Project Leadership Team
  • Responsible for communication with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements and provides support as necessary
  • Ensures that construction detail documentation conforms to quality assurance, quality control and Klover best practice standards
  • Performs as team leader on certain projects
  • Coordinates use and tracks shared electronic documentation and files with project team, clients and consultants.
  • Assists in planning and conducting work making minor adaptations and modifications to complete working drawing set(s)
  • Writes reports and memos to consultants and vendors to issue changes and track resolutions
  • Provides technical support and project communications to team as required
  • May attend on-site visits, field reviews and project meetings and may prepare and coordinate the review of contractor's schedules, submission of shop drawings and samples
  • Provides support to all team members for specific market, discipline, and other areas of expertise
  • Participates in team meetings to help resolve project issues, coordination with other disciplines, schedule adherence, technical issues
  • Prepares meeting minutes of consultant coordination meetings
  • Other duties as assigned
Education & Skills You Need to Bring With You
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture is required
  • 3 to 5 years related experience in architecture preferred
  • Knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness
  • Knowledge of architectural building systems
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines
  • Motivated, self-directed, problem solver and ability to work in both individual and team settings
  • Less than 10 percent travel to local construction sites
