Job summary

Perkins Eastman’s Pittsburgh office seeks an accomplished Architect to lead and collaborate across projects of varying size and complexity. The role blends design excellence with strategic planning and business development responsibilities at regional and state levels.

The ideal candidate will have 10–12 years of experience, a strong sense of sustainability, and proficiency with Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Hybrid work arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Architecture Degree.
• 10–12 years of experience.
• Effective communication skills and excellent graphic presentation skills.
• Experience and passion for high performance, sustainable architectural design.
• Proficiency with Revit, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite is required. Rhino or Environmental analysis design software.
• CPHD, LEED and/or WELL accreditations, progress toward licensure (NCIDQ) are pluses.
• Registered Architect preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a dynamic office, contributing to all phases of architectural work.
• Lead and support strategic planning projects in Pittsburgh and around the country.
• Represent Perkins Eastman at professional organization events, committees, and other associations.
• Support with business development and client relationships in Pittsburgh.
• Coordinate with Perkins Eastman’s sustainability and research teams for growth plans in Pittsburgh.
• Manage project staffing, budgets, and schedules.
• Lead communications among internal teams, consultants, owners, and contractors.
• Manage agreements and authorizations with owners and consultants.
• Support excellence in delivering publicly bid work.
• Coordinate logistical aspects of design deliverables.
• Advance the performance of projects through guidance of project teams.
• Support the growth of staff in the Pittsburgh studio.

Perkins Eastman has an exciting opportunity in our Pittsburgh office. We are looking for a highly motivated Architect to work with integrated design teams on various size projects and complexity.

The ideal candidate will excel in collaborative work environments and demonstrate versatility in design priorities, styles, and project delivery methods. This role encompasses a blend of architectural and strategic planning projects, along with business development responsibilities at both regional and state levels.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 10 to 12 years of experience.
• Ability to develop, communicate and present design concepts.
• Effective communication skills and excellent graphic presentation skills.
• Experience and passion for high performance, sustainable architectural design.
• Proficiency with Revit, Sketch-Up and Adobe Creative Suite is required. Rhino or Environmental analysis design software.
• Passion for and fundamental understanding of sustainable design.
• CPHD, LEED and/or WELL accreditations, progress toward licensure (NCIDQ) are pluses.
• Registered Architect preferred.

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographical work location.

Salary Range: $85,000 to $95,000
