Job summary

Hobbs+Black Architects in Grand Rapids is seeking an Architect I to lead technical project delivery and mentor teammates. You will detail designs and create construction drawings with a project team, applying building codes and site planning across healthcare, education, civic, and commercial projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of architecture experience, strong Revit and Bluebeam skills, excellent presentation and communication abilities, and a professional degree from an NCARB

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of related architectural work experience.
• Proficient in the use of Revit to effectively produce quality documents.
• Experience working with Bluebeam to review and coordinate team documentation.
• Proven presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads construction documentation and construction administration.
• Performs code reviews.
• Coordinates relationships with consultants.
• Serves as project contact with our clients.
• Develops and delivers comprehensive technical design presentations and architectural models to clearly communicate project intent.
• Supports the firm’s overall business development.
• Mentors' architectural technicians in their roles.
