Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking an Architect to join a global engineering team, responsible for the implementation and technical evaluation of our designs and the continuous innovation of our rapidly expanding data center footprint.

You will work with Principal and Architectural teams to drive standardization of designs across production data centers, and write technical documentation for projects while collaborating with utilities, manufacturers, vendors and contractors worldwide.

They have hands on Architectural design and field experience and have an understanding of the critical controls needs for a data center. As we grow, we are structuring our team to own more of our engineering in house. At Amazon, teamwork is absolutely necessary for us to accomplish our goals. As an Architect at Amazon, you will be working with other internal groups as well as external groups including utilities, manufacturers, vendors, and contractors.

As an Architect in this role, you will work with the Principals and Architectural teams to drive the standardization of designs across the global region in production data centers and resolve open technical issues in the Architectural space. You will participate in the research and development of new technologies and designs applicable to our products or services. Relied on as a subject matter expert in the Architectural field, you write technical documentation for such projects.

Your tasks include conceiving, initiating and leading projects with widespread impact on infrastructure design, innovation and implementation.
