Job summary

ISG in Raleigh, NC is seeking a visionary Architect to join a multi-disciplinary team of designers, engineers, and project managers. As an employee owner, you will help design experiences, communities, and legacies across diverse projects and geographies, supported by cutting-edge technology and a culture that prizes flexibility, innovation, and growth.

Qualifications

• Licensed architect with 10+ years of professional design experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture.
• K-12 experience preferred.
• Strong visual and written communication skills.
• Experience representing ISG in public forums.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts from napkin sketch to opening.
• Develop budgets, work plans, and contracts.
• Conduct site visits to observe construction progress.

Essential Duties

• Work directly with clients in all phases of design process – from the initial napkin sketch to opening the front door!
• Evaluate, select and apply standard architectural techniques, procedures and criteria using judgment for minor adaptations and modifications
• Develop and maintain project budgets, work plans, and contracts
• Collaborate with other enthusiastic ISGers while leading design efforts to create inspiring and uplifting spaces to live, work, and play
• Communicate project goals, objectives, design standards and procedures with project managers and multi-disciplinary teams
• Maintain the quality control of drawings and specifications
• Direct the development and preparation of project contract documents
• Get your boots dirty conducting site visits to observe construction progress and respond to any on-site challenges
• Help mentor and develop the next generation of designers and architects
• Willingness to think bigger, better, and bolder to make a difference in our communities!

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• 10+ years of professional design experience and licensed to practice architecture
• Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited architecture program
• K-12 experience, preferred
• Ability to communicate ideas empathetically and visually through both written and verbal media
• Ability to represent ISG and clients in public forums
• Familiarity in Revit, Adobe Suite and Sketchup computer software packages
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and participate with a variety of team members on different projects at varying levels of development
