Duties
- Develop test fits and feasibility studies for new buildings and additions, including creative solutions such as vertical additions requiring significant architectural and structural analysis.
- Analyze land use regulations, NYC Construction Codes, NYC Zoning Resolution, and other applicable requirements for proposed sites.
- Conduct site observations and prepare field reports.
- Present studies to an interdisciplinary committee of internal stakeholders.
- Provide technical assistance for Real Estate, Legal, and Capital Plan Management in negotiations with developers.
- Engage with developers and other stakeholders in pre‑design meetings for mixed use projects.
- Perform scope and design review of Capacity and CIP projects at all phase submissions.
- Work with a wide range of technical, professional, managerial and support personnel as well as outside consultants, contractors, vendors and various government agencies.
- Assist in preparing new design standards and procedures.
- Handle multiple projects at the same time.
- Serve as a member of project teams.
- Maintain and develop general understanding of architectural and engineering principles.
Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook; Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD; and Adobe InDesign.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 5 years' experience in drafting plans and sections in AutoCAD, interpreting NYC Zoning Resolution and NYC Construction Codes. Valid New York State registration as an Architect preferred.

$110K-$145K
