Job summary

Tippetts/Weaver Architects in downtown Lancaster, PA is seeking a full-time, in-person Architectural Designer to join a small, dynamic team. You will contribute to projects from concept through construction across varied types, including affordable housing and historic adaptive reuse.

You will collaborate with principals and consultants, develop design development and construction drawings, and apply AutoCAD and Revit skills to produce precise documentation.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited architecture program.
  • 2–5 years of professional experience in an architectural firm.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and a strong graphic sensibility.

Responsibilities

  • Participate as a contributing and collaborative member of project teams.
  • Contribute to all phases of architectural projects under the direction of the principals.
  • Prepare Design Development and Construction, and coordinate with consultants.

Job description

Tippetts/Weaver Architects is seeking a full-time, in-person Architectural Designer to join our small and dynamic team in downtown Lancaster, Pennsylvania.


We are a full-service architecture firm with a diverse portfolio ranging from multi-unit affordable housing and custom residential projects to historic adaptive reuse and more. Our work offers opportunities to contribute to a variety of project types and to be involved in projects from concept through construction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Participate as a contributing and collaborative member of project teams.

  • Contribute to all phases of architectural projects under the direction of the principals.

  • Prepare Design Development and Construction, and coordinate with consultants


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited architecture program.

  • 2–5 years of professional experience in an architectural firm.

  • Understanding of architectural practice and the development of design concepts.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • Clear and effective communication skills with clients, consultants, and coworkers.

  • Understanding of construction detailing and an interest in technical drafting and documentation.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit required.

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and a strong graphic sensibility desired.

  • Insatiable curiosity and a genuine desire to learn and grow professionally.
