Role Description The Architect role is a full-time, on-site position located in Huntsville, AL. The Architect will participate in all phases of the design process, including conceptual design, schematic development, design documentation, and construction administration for a variety of project types. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with project teams, preparing drawings and specifications, coordinating with consultants, and ensuring designs align with client goals, building codes, and sustainable practices. The role involves meeting with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements, presenting design ideas, and responding to feedback with creative, practical solutions. The Architect will also support project planning, assist with schedules and budgets, and contribute to the overall quality and consistency of firm standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Architecture and Architectural Design, including experience across multiple building types and design phases.
• Candidates should possess skills in Project Management, including coordination of project teams, schedule oversight, and collaboration with clients and consultants.
• Candidates should possess skills related to Software Development and Integration only as they apply to design technologies, such as BIM workflows, interoperability between design tools, and efficient digital collaboration.
• Proficiency with relevant design and documentation software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity with BIM standards.
• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) and progress toward or completion of professional licensure are highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and sustainable design principles; experience with education, healthcare, or community-focused projects is a plus.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to manage priorities in a collaborative studio environment.
