Responsibilities
  • Ability to develop electronic drawings from conceptual, presentation, and technical drawings for all phases of project documentation

  • Assists in research and coordination of materials and products for project specifications

  • Plans and programs layout of a project; coordinates and integrates engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval

  • Develop solutions to design assignments and technical problems

  • Interact and communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other agencies

  • Interfaces with the Director of Architecture and project managers

  • Demonstrate an ability to work on multiple projects while meeting budget and schedule constraints

  • Experience with building codes, zoning and general knowledge in jurisdictional processes

  • Participate in activities that strengthen our culture, knowledge base, and capabilities

  • Great leadership, team management, client communications, and engineering integration skills

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture

  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience

  • Excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, and professional commitment

  • Design & creative talent with confidence to take design initiative

  • Propose innovative, industry-leading design solutions

  • Commitment to challenging yourself to constantly improve and keep learning

  • Self-starting with strong work ethic and time management skills

  • Team player willing to accept a full range of responsibilities

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and an ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Good decision-making skills, flexibility, focus on quality and attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCad, MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and other modeling or rendering software

  • Registered Architect or demonstrated progress toward becoming a Registered Architect

  • Experience with public project delivery process - CDB (Illinois) and/or DFD (Wisconsin) is preferred
