Job summary

CESO, Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Architect with extensive experience to lead design and production of construction documents. You will coordinate with team members, ensure code compliance, and deliver documentation from concept through construction.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, is RA licensed, 10+ years of experience, and proficient in Revit/AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Bluebeam. Hybrid work and professional growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in architecture.
  • Registered Architect (RA) licensure required.
  • NCARB Certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with Revit and/or AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Bluebeam Revu.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical direction including building code and life safety assessments.
  • Design and production of architectural projects from concept to construction documentation and specifications.
  • Oversee production and technical delivery from start to finish.
  • Resolve complex issues for building construction.
  • Assist QA through review and redlining of drawings and coordination with QC.
  • Prioritize and manage tasks to meet project deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Architect supports the building design effort from start to finish, producing construction documents and specifications that meet codes, regulations, and client standards.

Responsibilities
  • Assist team members by providing technical direction, including building code assessment, life safety code assessment, and overall building construction typology and detailing.
  • Assist Team Leads and project leadership in the design and production of architectural projects from preparation of design concepts to construction documentation, including specifications, materials, color, and equipment as required by the project scope.
  • Oversee production and technical delivery of a project from start to finish, assisting/supplementing Designer-level staff in producing all relevant documentation as applicable to the project scope.
  • Apply knowledge and expertise to resolve crucial issues and/or unique conditions for building construction projects.
  • Assist the Team Lead in the Quality Assurance process through review and redlining of drawings and documents produced by others throughout the course of the project, and coordinate with the Quality Control reviewer(s) to ensure document updates and corrections are completed.
  • Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment to meet project deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in architecture is required.
  • Registered Architect (RA) licensure is required.
  • NCARB Certification is preferred.
  • Computer skills necessary to enter daily timesheet data and use Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of Revit, and/or AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Bluebeam Revu.
