Job summary

The Thrasher Group in Bridgeport, WV seeks a Licensed Architect to join our Bridgeport, WV office. You will lead design efforts, collaborate with project teams, and guide architectural development through all design phases.

Ideal candidates bring NCARB licensure, at least five years of architectural experience, proficiency with Revit, familiarity with local codes, and strong leadership, communication, and client-management skills.

Qualifications

• Licensure as an Architect (NCARB or equivalent) is required.
• Minimum of five years of related architectural experience.
• Ability to manage client relationships and lead teams.
• Proficiency with Revit or similar BIM software is preferred.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the project design team across all phases of design
• Prepare original architectural design layouts, details, drawings, and specifications

• Coordinate and integrate architectural design work with other engineering disciplines
• Apply critical thinking to evaluate, select, and implement design techniques appropriate to each project

What You'll Bring

Licensure: NCARB Registered Architect required

Experience: Minimum 5 years of related architectural experience

Software: Experience with Revit a plus

Codes & jurisdictions: Familiarity with local codes and authorities having jurisdiction

Client management: Proficiency managing client, owner, and contractor relationships

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills

Leadership: Leadership and time management skills to keep projects on schedule and on budget

Multi-tasking: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively

Mentorship: Ability to mentor and develop junior staff

Work style: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Travel: Periodic travel to project sites required
