  • Coordinate architectural information with structural, civil, MEP, sustainability and surveying disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
  • Prepare and manage statutory submissions, including planning applications and building regulation packages.
  • Support procurement and construction activities, including preparation of tender documentation, responding to contractor queries, RFIs and attending site inspections.
  • Attend and contribute to client meetings, design team meetings, planning consultations and site meetings.
  • Apply sound technical judgement to ensure compliance with current Building Regulations, British Standards and industry best practice.
  • Manage workload effectively to meet agreed quality, fee and programme targets, identifying and escalating risks where appropriate.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring support to junior team members and contribute to internal design reviews and quality assurance processes.
  • Actively engage with sustainability and low-carbon design principles in line with Barker Associates’ commitment to responsible development.
