Job summary

Archery Tech in Buchanan Dam, TX seeks a part-time Retail Archery Technician & Sales Associate to provide expert knowledge and service for archery gear while delivering outstanding customer care. You will handle bow setup, tuning, and repairs, help customers select equipment, and support general retail sales.

The ideal candidate has strong archery knowledge, good communication skills, and a passion for helping customers succeed in their sport. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in archery equipment service/repair preferred; retail or customer service experience strongly desired.
• Strong knowledge of bows, crossbows, arrows, sights, rests, releases, broadheads.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers, providing knowledgeable recommendations on archery gear, accessories, and related outdoor equipment.
• Perform bow and crossbow setup, tuning, adjustments, and repairs (string replacement, sight installation, cam timing, draw weight/length adjustments, etc.).
• Maintain and organize the archery workbench, tools, and supplies to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
• Educate customers on proper equipment use, safety, and maintenance.
• Assist with sales across other departments as needed.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for purchases, returns, and exchanges.
• Stock shelves, price merchandise, and maintain a clean, well-organized sales floor.
• Participate in product training and stay current on new archery technologies and outdoor gear trends.
• Support store promotions, special events, and customer engagement initiatives.

The Retail Archery Technician & Sales Associate provides expert knowledge and technical services for archery equipment while delivering outstanding customer service across the store. This role is responsible for bow setup, tuning, and repair, assisting customers in selecting archery and outdoor products, and supporting general retail sales.
