Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks an Archaeological Intern to join our Tallahassee or Tampa, FL office. Provide administrative and operational support for cultural resource management projects, including archaeological surveys and report preparation.

You will conduct fieldwork under supervision, assist with artifact processing, data entry, curation, report figure production, and site form preparation. Must have completed 60 hours toward a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or Archaeology by the internship start

Qualifications

  • Must have completed 60 hours toward a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field by start of internship.
  • No prior Cultural Resource Management experience required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
  • Effective written and verbal communication; ability to work collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; basic data entry skills.

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Archaeological Intern to join our Tallahassee or Tampa, FL office.

Your Role
  • Provide administrative and operational support for cultural resource management projects, including archaeological surveys and report preparation.
  • Conduct archaeological fieldwork under supervision, which may include pedestrian survey, shovel testing, data collection, and/or data recovery in diverse environmental conditions.
  • Assist with project-related tasks such as artifact processing, data entry, curation, report figure production, site form preparation, desktop survey, and consultation activities.
About You
  • Experience: No prior Cultural Resource Management work experience is required.
  • Education: Must have completed 60 hours toward a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a closely related field by the start of the internship.
  • Special Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely; effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively.
  • Physical Requirements: Candidates must have the ability to work outdoors in varying field conditions, walk long distances, carry up to 40 pounds of equipment, stoop, and squat.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; basic computer and data entry skills.

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between $23 - $29 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
