Job summary

Ohana Pacific Health in Hawaii seeks a Resident Aide to deliver compassionate care in a fast-paced team setting. The Resident Aide - Health Services position supports residents with daily living and basic care tasks.

Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, housekeeping, and meals; reviewing care plans weekly and coordinating activities as needed. A HS diploma and CNA credentials are preferred; 18+ years old required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum age 18).
• Nurse Aide Program preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Experience in environmental services or customer service in healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with physical needs: positioning, feeding, transferring, toileting, dressing and hygiene.
• Assist with housekeeping duties: dusting, sweeping, mopping, restocking, cleaning surfaces and bathrooms.
• Assist with activities and appointments and help residents attend scheduled activities.
• Review care plans at least weekly or when updated.
• Assist residents to designated tables for meals and snacks.

The Position:

Resident Aide who strives to provide quality and service excellence in a brand new, fast paced, team environment are encouraged to apply. The Resident Aide - Health Services position is responsible for:

• Assists resident with their physical needs including positioning, feeding, transporting, transferring and toileting, ambulating, personal hygiene, and dressing.
• Assist with housekeeping duties as assigned: dusting, sweeping, mopping, re-stocking items, wiping down tables, chairs and hand rails, vacuuming, polishing, and cleaning bathrooms.
• Assist with activities and appointments when required and/or be responsible for getting the resident to a scheduled activity.
• Reviews care plans at least weekly and whenever an interim care plan is updated, changed or added.
• Assists residents to designated table for meals/snacks.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent / Minimum age of 18.
• Satisfactory completion of Nurse Aide Program preferred
• Certified (CNA) preferred.
• Experience in an environmental services or customer service position in healthcare setting preferred.

Shift Details

Casual Positions for all shifts. 16 hours a month with ability to pick up additional shifts if available. Day shift 6:00am to 2:30pm, Eve shift 2:00pm to 10:30pm, NOC 10:00pm to 6:30am.
