Job summary

SAIC is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support ArcGIS Enterprise deployments across classified environments in Vienna, VA. You will lead architecture design, troubleshoot complex systems, and guide customer organizations in aligning mission objectives with geospatial capabilities.

The role requires 8+ years of systems engineering, TS/SCI clearance, and proficiency with Windows/Linux, scripting (Python/PowerShell/JavaScript), and ArcGIS. Travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Willing and able to pass a polygraph.
• 8+ years of relevant systems engineering experience.
• Experience designing/implementing enterprise ArcGIS or comparable IT systems.
• Administration experience on Windows and/or Linux.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming language (Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, C#, etc.).
• Knowledge of networking components (DNS, HTTPS, proxies, load-balancing).
• Experience with one RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure ArcGIS across varied operating systems, cloud environments, and security architectures.
• Plan and execute content migrations between enterprise ArcGIS deployments.
• Troubleshoot advanced system configurations involving networking, storage, and security.
• Partner with customers to identify, design, and validate mission‑critical GIS workflows.
• Collaborate with internal teams to connect technical strategies with customer business needs.
