Job summary

Ardent is seeking an experienced ArcGIS Systems Administrator to install, configure, and secure an Esri ArcGIS Enterprise environment. You will maintain Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, and Data Store across development, test, and production, ensuring high availability for critical geospatial operations.

You will manage enterprise geodatabases, user access, and security, monitor health, apply patches, and support migrations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in GIS, computer science, information technology, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
5+ years of experience administering Esri ArcGIS Enterprise systems in production.
Strong working knowledge of enterprise geodatabase administration (SDE) and relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
Experience with Windows Server and/or Linux server environments supporting enterprise apps.
Familiarity with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Esri tech stack, and GIS security best practices.
Active Top Secret clearance with CI polygraph required.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain ArcGIS Enterprise components across environments.
Administer geodatabases, including schema management and versioning.
Manage user accounts, roles, groups, and security within ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal/Online.
Monitor system health, troubleshoot outages, apply patches and security updates.
Configure federated server sites and hosting servers; support DB integrations (SQL Server/Oracle/PostgreSQL).
Implement backup, DR, and business continuity procedures.
Administer licensing and deployment of ArcGIS Pro and Esri apps.
Collaborate with cartographers, analysts, and IT staff on data workflows.
Document configurations, SOPs, and change management.
Support platform migrations and upgrades as needed.
