Job summary

Ardent is seeking an experienced ArcGIS Systems Administrator to support installation, configuration, security, and day-to-day administration of an Esri ArcGIS Enterprise environment in Washington, DC. The role ensures a stable, secure GIS platform for mission-critical operations and serves as the primary system support contact.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of ArcGIS Enterprise experience, deep geodatabase knowledge, and proficiency with SQL Server/Oracle/PostgreSQL, Windows/Linux servers,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years administering Esri ArcGIS Enterprise systems in a production environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, computer science, information technology, or related field.
• Strong working knowledge of enterprise geodatabases and SQL databases.
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux server environments for enterprise apps.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and Esri stack.
• Understanding of GIS security, authentication, and hardening.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain ArcGIS Enterprise components across envs.
• Administer geodatabases, manage schema, versioning, and performance.
• Manage ArcGIS user accounts, roles, groups, and permissions.
• Monitor health, troubleshoot outages, apply patches and upgrades.
• Configure federated sites and DB integrations (SQL Server/Oracle/PostgreSQL).
• Implement backup, DR, and business continuity procedures.
• Administer licensing and deploy ArcGIS Pro to end users.
• Collaborate with cartographers, analysts, and IT staff.
• Document configurations, SOPs, and change management.
• Support platform migrations and upgrades as needed.
