Job summary

Arcadia Home Care & Staffing is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant to support seniors and individuals with disabilities living independently. The role emphasizes compassionate care, confidentiality, and flexible hours to accommodate personal needs while contributing to high-quality home care.

You will follow care plans, assist with daily living activities, and help with light housekeeping, meals, and errands. A background check and an agency qualification exam are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Satisfactory completion of Agency qualifying exam.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Six (6) months of recent PCA/HCA/CNA experience or 2 years part-time in last 3 years, or 6 months full-time in past 2 years, or 1 year part-time in last 3 years with training.

Responsibilities

• Follow specific care plans for clients and report on tasks completed.
• Assist with personal care needs (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist with routine house cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry.
• Transport client to doctor visits, grocery store, and other errands.
• Assist client with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client condition.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain regular, predictable attendance and flexibility to meet department needs.
• Follow Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA requirements and internal policies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department.
• Follow all Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations and requirements.
• Abide by all regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Must be 18 years of age
• Satisfactory completion of Agency qualifying exam.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Six (6) months of recent experience or 2 years part-time experience within the last 3 years as a PCA/HCA/CNA or equivalent or 6 months full-time experience within the past 2 years or 1-year part-time experience within the past 3 years and completion of a format training course.
• CPR / First Aid certification if state or program requirement.
• Nurturing and compassionate nature with the desire to care for others.
