Overview

The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers make a difference in people's lives. Through the collection and resale of gently used goods, we provide financial support to assist men and women with various social and spiritual afflictions. The in-residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities, ensuring every participant has a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure activities, group and individual counseling, and spiritual direction. Our efforts aim to develop life skills and foster a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Each team member contributes to recycling goods that literally recycle and repair broken lives.

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Sales and Production Associate to work in a production store and perform a wide variety of duties in the store and production area. The Sales and Production Associate will maintain order, create a pleasant work environment, and uphold customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintain good customer relationships.
• Assist with store operations as required.
• Serve all customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Handle all donations with care and treat donors with respect and courtesy.
• Handle merchandise as directed, maintaining proper categories and colorization.
• Ensure that the store is sufficiently stocked and “ragged out” in accordance with the “ARC COMMAND RAG OUT CALENDAR.”
• Assist in cleaning and general maintenance of store property.
• Report theft, customer complaints, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management immediately.
• Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area.
• Comply with the Guide to Thrift Store & Donation Center Operations manual.
• Support the work therapy program by providing beneficiaries with examples of professional conduct, work habits, and supervision as directed by the Supervisor.
• Other duties may be assigned by immediate supervisor, Store Supervisor, Assistant Store Supervisor, and/or Administrator.
