Job summary

Strata-G, LLC is seeking an experienced Power Systems/Arc Flash Electrical Engineer in Oak Ridge, TN. The role focuses on designing and analyzing power distribution systems, emphasizing arc flash hazard assessments.

The ideal candidate will possess a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and have at least 3 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include building power models, conducting site data collection, and generating comprehensive technical reports. This is a contract position with no remote options.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical systems, operations, or maintenance.
• Ability to utilize software packages to model electrical systems.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584, NEC and/or NESC.
• Familiarity with electrical drawings such as one-lines, power plans, and panel schedules.

Responsibilities

• Build facility power models in SKM for electrical analysis.
• Lead site walkthroughs and gather data from electrical systems.
• Extract specifications from legacy drawings and documents.
• Update electrical drawings with accurate simulation data.
• Write and deliver technical reports on system performance.
• Identify deficiencies and propose engineering solutions.
• Generate safety labels based on analysis results.
